A big month for TV
Last week the writers strike came to an end (and thank god it did, I was not a fan of the overly improvised Daily Show, although I agree that Colbert did well). This week Toshiba called it quits on HD-DVD, giving pixel-loving Americans the green light to spend their $600 tax rebate on a new Blu-ray player.
As you may recall, I complained about both of these now resolved quagmires a few months ago, noting that corporate American and corporate Asia, respectively, were completely failing in their duty to supply me with new high quality digital entertainment. Now that both disputes have been resolved, I need to be on the look out for other TV-related injustices to blog about. In the meantime, my house will remain cable-free, although I am happy to note that our DTV converter box coupon is in the mail!
